September Sugar and Spice Flea

Saturday 15th September saw the return of Sugar and Spice Flea at the wonderful St. Mary's Church Hall, Ealing W5.

St Mary's offers a great space to showcase local makers and collectors, with the added bonus of a tearoom too.

The hall was packed with regular and new traders, with an exciting mix of products for sale.

Among the new traders was Jennifer Cattlin, hat and fascinator designer.  Jennifer will be returning to the November market and can be contacted for bespoke orders.

Gardens for the Senses had a great display of indoor succulents for sale, grown in their home in North West London, specialising in alpines and succulents.

The vintage homeware stalls had an interesting mix of collectables and curiosities and the Tintin pictures were a talking point, lots of reminiscing of childhood reading!

Local artist Marta Willcox was another new trader selling her range of  Hanwell and Ealing inspired tea towels and prints from the Hanwell Zoo. Check out her Etsy shop - https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/HanwellPrints.

Local baker Philippa, owner of Let 'em Eat Cake Bakery, definitely put the sugar into Sugar and Spice flea market!  Her amazing homemade cakes and savouries were enjoyed by traders and visitors.  The courgette cake and chocolate and cherry proved very popular.  Philippa will be back at the November market with more delicious delights.

Sugar and Spice returns to St. Mary's church hall on Saturday 10th November, 11-4.  A great opportunity to start Christmas shopping or just an excuse to treat yourself.  The stall line up is looking great already and I am delighted to say we will be joined by the Ealing Oxfam bookshop.  Their stall is always so exciting, with vintage and collectable books and handmade gifts.
